We Have A Winner

So after one of the most exciting and unusual 6 Nations ever, slightly drawn out for dramatic effect, we have a clear winner.  The 2021 F6NF Champion, by a clear margin of 15 points, is Helen O’Keefe.

“Absolutely thrilled and overwhelmed” said O’Keefe from her catamaran off the Algarve, where she is self isolating.  “Winning the F6NF has been an ambition for many years – its like a dream come true.  We’ll have a cocktail or two tonight to celebrate – socially distanced of course.”

Amhaoin Mallon picked up points to rise to second place, and takes the GEA sponsored Kevin Daly Award. Mallon will receive enough stainless steel piping, valve parts and slightly used tanks to make her own home brewery.  “That’s brilliant, because we’ve really been getting through it during lockdown.  Is it hard to put together?” said Mallon.  Alternatively she could take the €200 in cash.

The Ethos Engineering Wooden Spoon Award goes to former flying winger Marcus Dillon.  “Hmmm. Maybe failing to notice the minus sign for away victories didn’t help” said a thoughtful Dillon from his fishing boat on Leopardstown Reservoir.  “And going for big spreads where most games were 3 pointers compounded the felony.  Ah well, next time”
