A fond goodbye after 30 years…
And So The Final Curtain
As I think you’ve all worked out, after 30 years of the F6NF Jason and I have decided to call it a day. We’ve had a lot of fun, seen a lot of generosity from you all, and raised a few bob for good causes in the process.
We’ve had entrants from every continent in the world. (Although having said that I’m wondering about South America. And come on, Antarctica doesn’t count).
But time moves on. We began at the birth of e-mail and the introduction of the mobile phone. Now we hit firewalls and spam filters.
The rugby world of 1996 has changed dramatically, and if we take this weekend as a snapshot, has become a much more exciting one (although the Springboks will be back).
So the time has come for us to go.
Should anyone wish to take the F6NF concept on for the future, in support of whatever charity they feel they would like to, then by all means talk to us at info@gayevaughanfoundation.com. A spreadsheet can be provided.
It’s been emotional.
