The Gaye Vaughan Foundation was set up in Gaye’s name in 2016. It took over then the running of the Fantasy 6 Nations Forecast, which remains its central fund raising plank.
The F6NF has been going for approximately 25 years (the memory’s a bit hazy that far back, before mobile phones and colour TV) when it started on the back of an envelope. Most importantly of all, it raises money for the LauraLynn children’s hospice, supporting the great work they do for the very sick children of Ireland and their families.
We have raised over €100,000 in that time, and each year you can track our progress on our Everydayhero page – and throw in a few bob if you are feeling flush.
Just to prove LauraLynn do get the cash, see below. You can’t be too careful in the post-Delaney governance era!
We are indebted to our sponsors, who regularly come up with the cash to fund the prizes, and to donate to LauraLynn, who you will see adorning the F6NF pages.
And we are particularly grateful to all of our entrants – some of whom have been trying to win for all of those 25 years – who make the competition work
Thanks to everyone,
Neil and Jason
